Hello!

I'm Richard, a strategic UX researcher and service designer based in Baltimore, MD, with a master's degree in UX from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) and over a decade of experience in business strategy. As an abstract systems thinker, I thrive in complexity and use pattern recognition for a deep understanding of user needs. As a trusted strategic advisor, I work with stakeholders to connect these insights to organizational goals and create long-term value for the business and its customers.

I'm obsessed with problem scoping, ensuring we solve the right problem at the right time, and using a qualitative-leaning mixed-methods approach to gain clarity and reduce risk. As a natural storyteller, I can connect insights to action, giving leaders the direction, focus, and momentum needed to turn their initiatives into reality. I love working on teams and always seek the perspective of other crafts—from engineering to design to sales. As a former boss once told me, my superpowers are my adaptability and optimism.

When I'm not problem-solving, you'll find me making coffee or going out to get coffee. In addition to caffeine, I enjoy fashion, beauty products, and playing with my standard poodle, Marcel. And also TikTok. I love connecting with other UXers, so don't be afraid to say hello!
